The latest Robin to hit the streets is none other than The Dark Knight’s son himself, Damian Wayne! As the son of The Bat, this preteen warrior was raised by The League of Shadows and his grandfather Ra’s al Ghul. He also has all the samurai skills to match. This suit has all the makings of a classic Robin costume with some additions that give it an edgier more modern aesthetic. A black spandex bodysuit provides the base layer to this ensemble and is covered with a red and yellow pleather vest. The vest features a segmented skirt and Robin’s signature “R” symbol located on the upper left side. A bright yellow pleather utility belt wraps around the waist and provides enough storage for a plethora of gadgets. A pair of long green gloves are matched by a set of knee pads. A sleek and simple black mask wraps around the head keeping the wearer’s identity secret. Differentiating the costume from previous iterations of Robin is the cape. This cape features a series of points at the base which is more commonly seen in the one worn by batman. Another distinct aspect to this suit is the hood which attaches to the cape giving it a more modern design. Rounding out this crime-fighting costume is an optional pair of knee-high boots. The red and green combat boots give the suit a slight military look while being both fashionable and functional.
